BLACK Label

SHIRAZ

MCGUIGAN

Rumour has it this well established wine maker (of the year three years in a row - thank you very much!) decided to create something for "the rest of us" folks with the less inflatable wallet. Well, why not? If Joe Mimram  can do it for Loblaws, Karl Lagerfeld for H&M and Joseph Altuzarra can do it for Target why not McGuigan for we simple folk?

Take a skim through their website to brush up on  their accomplishments, but I simply must inform, how delish this little number is. For only around 10 dollars, you can't go wrong if you are looking for a little something with which to unwind after work, sample with dinner or casually enjoy with friends. On the friends scale, you could even share this at a dinner party and satisfy the most discriminating pallet.

This fine, light to medium bodied, wine engages you with its deep, rich, black cherry  colour. Secondly, its sweet, juicy, aroma may cause light-headed swooning. And upon first sip, this fine wine is obviously fleshy and very well balanced. Folks have described McGuigan Black Label as a spicy product, but I think it soft and silky with a  lively fruity aroma, harmonious on the tongue, and holding with an extremely light  finish.

McGuigan Black Label Shiraz would pair nicely with most dishes, avoiding the sharper tastes like Asiago cheese or goat.

Cheers!
