5 Fave Essential Oils

The extracted essence of plants, essential oils, have most likely been in use since humans discovered the ability to pound things and smell, lick, eat the mushed pulp. 30,000 year old evidence exists of us using apparatus for the pounding of grains and plants... so imagine what we did with only our hands prior to building intricate tools to improve our lives.... Yes, long before 30,000 years ago!

Finding quality oils is always the quest. You could "trust" your local supplier, keeping in mind, most everything is a business; s/he may be in the business of "pushing" one brand over another. But, it never hurts to do some research, take a workshop (or two), KNOW what you are looking for and what you are buying.

A few things to remember about essential oils: ONE, If a company's claims are too good to be true, they probably are (too good to be true). TWO, trust your nose. Stores have samples for a reason. You might be a beginner, but your nose knows when something is good. Check if the product passes your Nose Test. And THREE - most importantly - be careful when using oils. We each have different tolerances with ingesting or applying oils to our skin. it is often recommended to dilute (with a benign oil or water) before using. Do a skin test.
